Ordering guide
Gravel bags vs bulk bags
Convert the calculator result into a practical supplier order.
How to compare small gravel bags, bulk bags, tonnes, and cubic metres when ordering aggregate.
Small bags are easy to count
For small jobs, bag count is convenient because suppliers label bags by weight.
- Enter the bag weight from the product listing.
- The calculator rounds up so you do not run short.
- Small bags can be expensive for larger areas.
Bulk orders need supplier details
Bulk bags and loose loads vary by supplier, aggregate, moisture, and fill level.
- Compare tonnes, kg, and cubic metres carefully.
- Ask the supplier how much a bulk bag covers at your chosen depth.
- Consider delivery access and where the material will be dropped.
This is an estimate. Site conditions, compaction, and aggregate type can change the final quantity.
